Cooperation with the Ombudsman of Albania
A three-day study visit by the Albanian National Preventive Mechanism took place in the Office of the Human Rights Defender. The agenda included exchanging of experiences concerning the methodology of preventive visits under OPCAT, reporting, and communication methods, as well as a visit in a prison unit. Participants also had the opportunity to become familiar with inspection visits carried out by the ombudsman.
The study visit was a part of the Visegrad Group and Western Balkans cooperation intended to strengthen the human rights protection system. The delegation included: Arlind Kruja - expert Sotiraq Nushi – OPCAT head, Albert Pilo - expert. The visit was funded by the TAIEX.
