Wojciech Brzozowski met with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium

On April 3 2023, Deputy Commissioner for Human Rights Wojciech Brzozowski met with His Excellency the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Poland, Mr. Rik van Droogenbroeck.
During the meeting many issues related to the protection of human rights and freedoms were discussed. The interlocutors exchanged views on prison systems and the rights of prisoners in both countries. Ambassador Rik van Droogenbroeck was interested in the Commissioner's mission to mitigate the consequences of the humanitarian crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border. The state of the rule of law in Poland and the current regulations on the judiciary were also raised. The conversation concerned also issues related to cross-border family disputes.
