Prof. Irena Lipowicz in Parliament

The Human Rights Defender, Prof. Irena Lipowicz, participated in a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee for Justice and Human Rights. The Defender presented to the Members of Parliament a report on the functioning of the National Preventive Mechanism. She also spoke about the need to settle issues related to the functioning of sobering stations and to providing persons detained in pre-trial custody with the right to communicate with their counsel for the defence.
