Marcin Wiącek took part in the IOI World Conference
On May 15-16, the Commissioner for Human Rights Marcin Wiącek participated in the IOI World Conference - a conference organized by the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI).
IOI is an organization that brings together ombudsman institutions from all over the world. The conference took place in The Hague, Netherlands, where the Commissioner was accompanied by the Chief Coordinator for Strategic Cooperation, Maciej Grześkowiak.
During the conference, Marcin Wiącek moderated a panel discussion devoted to the role of values in the work of ombudsmen. It was conducted in the context of the recommendations regarding the code of ethics for ombudsmen on which the IOI has been working. The panelists were Ron Crocker - representative of the Ombudsman of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia and Marc Bertrand - Ombudsman of the Belgian Walloon Region.
