Marcin Wiącek spoke with the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights

On February 23, 2024, Marcin Wiącek, the Commissioner for Human Rights, held a remote conversation with Dmytro Lubinets, the Ombudsman of Ukraine. The discussion focused on current issues regarding the protection of rights and freedoms, including the ongoing situation at the Polish-Ukrainian border.
The Commissioner discussed forms of cooperation between their institutions, in particular with regard to complaints received from citizens. Marcin Wiącek assured his counterpart that all complaints from Ukrainian citizens falling within the remit of the CHR receive a response. He also encouraged Commissioner Lubinets to disseminate information about the possibility of filing complaints to the CHR in the Ukrainian language.
