CHR is concerned over health of former President Micheil Saakashwili

The Commissioner for Human Rights Marcin Wiącek is deeply concerned over the health of Mr. Micheil Saakaszwili, former President of Georgia who has been detained in Georgia.
In his letter to the Public Defender of Georgia Nino Lomjaria the Commissioner asked for assistance in taking interest and investigating about health of Mr. Saakashwili, as well as granting medical treatment in conditions of imprisonment. Micheil Saakashwili has been on a hunger strike since October 1st 2021.
