The baseline report on the possibilities to improve the situation of fundamental rights protection through a wider application of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights in Poland, provides an overview of the application of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union by different national authorities. The purpose of this report is to present the role that the Charter currently plays in the functioning of the judiciary, the executive, the legislature, the national human rights institutions (NHRIs) and civil society, and to assess its possible future role in strengthening the protection of fundamental rights at the national level.
