Scope of activities

The scope of activities of the Group for Constitutional and International Law covers the following:  

  1. System (constitutional) issues and general issues related to fundamental civil rights, including right to a fair trial, right to vote, right to use cultural goods, right to privacy and right to personal data protection;
  2. Tasks concerning equal treatment and the ban on discrimination, including:
    1. Cooperation with authorities and organisations acting for protection of human and civil rights and freedoms, and for equal treatment;
    2. Analysis, monitoring and supporting equal treatment of all individuals;
    3. Studies on discrimination;
    4. Drafting recommendations for the Defender on problems related to discrimination;
    5. Preparing information about the activities of the Defender in the field of equal treatment and their results as part of the annual information of the activities of the Defender and the observance of human and civil rights and freedoms, including the information on the observance of the principle of equal treatment in the Republic of Poland, based on studies referred to in Subparagraph (c), as well as conclusions and recommendations on measures which should be taken in order to ensure the observance of the principle of equal treatment.
